If you're wandering through Ueno Park in Tokyo and find yourself in need of a delightful pick-me-up, look no further than NoM Cafe. Nestled in a charming little van just steps away from the culture-laden precincts of the Tokyo University of the Arts, this cafe is more than just a place to sip coffee; it's a cozy escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

NoM Cafe is best known for its expertly crafted coffee and delightful chai, ideal for both enthusiastic caffeine lovers and those seeking a warm, spiced embrace. As you approach the quaint van, you’re greeted not only by the aromatic allure of freshly brewed beverages but also by the friendly smiles of the staff, eager to make your experience memorable.

Many patrons, like Matt James, rave about the superb pour-over coffee made from top-quality light roast beans — a treat that transcends the ordinary cafe experience. With a few sips, you may find the complexities of flavor unfolding; each cup is a testament to the baristas' dedication to their craft. Meanwhile, chai enthusiasts swear by NoM Cafe's heavenly chai concoctions, as highlighted by Guido Mxlgnli and Harm Agena, both of whom declared it the best in all of Tokyo. Whether served hot to warm your soul or cold to refresh you on a sunny day, this spicy blend has earned its reputation as a must-try.

But what truly sets NoM Cafe apart is its atmosphere. Tucked away in an alleyway, you can enjoy your drink outside in a serene courtyard adorned with artistic touches, offering the perfect combination of relaxation and inspiration. As Dylan noted, sipping coffee in such a peaceful setting while basking in the sun is the epitome of a delightful Tokyo experience.

Don’t just take our word for it; casual customers rave about the exceptional service. From Meredith's joy over the friendly baristas to Jennifer Ferrante’s love for this picturesque spot, the warmth and care extended to each guest create a welcoming embrace that transforms a simple coffee break into a delightful outing.

Next time you’re in the Ueno area, make sure to stop by NoM Cafe for a refreshing drink and heartfelt service in a uniquely charming setting. It’s not just a coffee stop; it’s an experience to cherish.

Such a wonderful little coffee shop set up in a small van outside of the Geidai art plaza. We both had pour overs of a light roast and it was superb. Great service and a top notch brew. Thank you!

I went here on my last day in Tokyo after exploring the nearby Ueno park. The cafe is a cute little van setup in an alleyway, away from the hustle and bustle of the park. You can enjoy a lovely coffee while sitting in a courtyard next to a gallery. Sitting outside in the sun with a nice view, away from all the crowds, was a breath of fresh air and the service was exceptionally friendly and kind! As a bonus my coffee even came with a biscuit! How lovely :)

Best chai in Tokyo served from the cutest detailed van you’ll ever see and just steps away from the museums at Ueno Park.

I think it is a nice place to visit on a warm sunny day. Chai is tasty and not too sweet but no the best I have ever had.
